Partnership Working Success in Southall A big thank you to all our partners for the fantastic joint operation across Southall on 11/03/26
After multiple past inspections, prosecutions, and licence reviews it’s encouraging to see that the message is getting through — overall compliance was at an all‑time high. 13 premises were thoroughly inspected with support from sniffer dogs, Trading Standards & • Southall Green SNT • Southall West SNT • Lady Margaret SNT • Southall Broadway SNT • Dormers Wells SNT • Norwood Green SNT Illicit tobacco was found at 4 locations.
Seizures included: 181 packets of illicit cigarettes 50g of illicit hand‑rolling tobacco 750g of illicit chewing tobacco Three businesses will now receive formal warning letters with follow‑up inspections to come. A fourth premises — One Stop, Western Road — may face prosecution due to previous enforcement history, including an alcohol licence revocation, yet illicit tobacco sales have persisted. With continued partnership working, we hope to maintain these excellent levels of compliance and keep our communities safer.
